Workshops
James is an experienced educator and workshop facilitator and has led creative workshops on a wide variety of topics and in a wide range of contexts, often with a focus on combining poetry with visual art forms.
As an Associate Artist of the Birmingham Education Partnership, he has worked in schools helping pupils discover new ways of poem-making, collage-making, and sessions that combine the two. He can be booked for workshops within an academic context through the Birmingham Education Partnership system.
A qualified TEFL teacher, James has led workshops with a specific focus on using poetry as a basis for practicing and improving English for non-native speakers, within communities both in the UK and abroad.
James’s workshops with a poetry-specific focus have ranged from engaging communities with the stories of their local area, to building physical poetry spaces, to introductions to experimental forms and constraints to further your writing.
